Principal's Message

Dear Bert Raney Elementary Students and Families,

A few reminders as your children head back to school:

The first day of school for all K-5 students, will be Tuesday, September 5th.

Daily schedule: breakfast will be available from 7:45AM-8:10AM in our school cafeteria. Breakfast is free for students in grades K-3.

Arrival to school: please plan to arrive no earlier than 7:45AM and no later than 8:15AM. Upon arrival to school, students should proceed to the supervised downstairs hallway or to the cafeteria for breakfast if they arrive before 8:00AM.

In an effort to keep our students safe, please remember:

  • The parent drop-off zone in the morning will continue to be on the south side of 7th Avenue. The purpose of this zone is to provide an area where parents can quickly and efficiently drop off their child for school. Please do not park your vehicle in this area. Please be sure your child exits your car next to the sidewalk, so they don’t have to cross traffic.

  • Parents who wish to park and walk their child into school, please park either on Kilowatt Drive or in the east parking lot of Bert Raney.

  • Parents who wish to pick up their children at the end of the school day, please park either on the south side of 7th Avenue (drop off area for AM), Kilowatt Drive, or in the parking lot.

If you have any concerns or questions, please contact our Elementary Office at 564.4082 ext 114.

I am looking forward to a GREAT school year!

Mrs. Hansen, Bert Raney Elementary Principal
