The mission of YME Health Services is to promote a heathy school environment and provide the necessary services to ensure students are healthy, safe, and ready to learn.

Communication between families, the medical community, and school(s) is vital to ensure positive health outcomes for all.  If your child has a chronic health condition and/or may require medication or treatment at school, please contact the Licensed School Nurse.  The Licensed School Nurse will work with you and/or your Licensed Healthcare Provider to promote an optimal learning environment for your child.

If you have any questions or concerns about your child's health, do not hesitate to contact the Licensed School Nurse.  She is a resource for you and your child to assist with their health and educational goals so their school experience can be a successful one.  Working together we can assist in bridging many barriers and increasing their opportunities for success.

WHAT IS SCHOOL NURSING?

School nursing, a specialized practice of nursing, protects and promotes student health, facilitates optimal development, and advances academic success.  School nurses, grounded in ethical and evidence-based practice, are the leaders that bridge healthcare and education, provide care coordination, advocate for quality student-centered care and collaborate to design systems that allow individuals and communities to develop their full potential.
