YME Student Technology Assistant

YME School District is looking for a STUDENT TECHNOLOGY ASSISTANT to
help with summer technology preparation and maintenance. The position varies
in hours and days based on the needs of the district. All work will be performed
during day hours (typically 8:00-4:00) and will be paid at a rate of $15 per hour.
A maximum of 208 summer hours is anticipated.

Qualifications:
● Must be able to work with minimal direction and supervision.
● General knowledge and enthusiasm for technology are desired.
● Must be trustworthy, dependable, and able to maintain confidentiality.
● Must be prompt and not distractible (personal use of cell phone & electronic
devices prohibited)
● Must dress appropriately which includes school dress code and closed-toe
shoes.
● Students ages 16+ may apply.
Activities that could be assigned by the Tech Department are:
● Check over and organize laptops, iPads, and Chromebooks
● Assist with preparing new devices and equipment
● Basic technology troubleshooting
● Device repairs
● Moving devices throughout and between buildings
● Connecting various classroom technologies
● Cleaning laptops, iPads, and Chromebooks
● Other duties including manual labor as assigned

Bert Raney Elementary is seeking a long-term substitute 2nd grade classroom teacher to begin on approximately August 26, 2024 until approximately October 18, 2024.  MN teaching license in any field is required.

YME School District is seeking candidates for an Inside Maintenance Specialist. The ideal candidate will be able to maintain and operate a variety of equipment, have general mechanical knowledge, and understand basic inside maintenance tasks including building maintenance.  Inside duties will include repairing and maintaining equipment and building accessories, basic carpentry, basic plumbing and heating, and other duties as assigned.  The scheduled hours during school days are 6:00 am-2:30 pm and may include seasonal overtime, paid building checks, and a compressed summer work schedule (4-10 hours/day work week).  Boiler license preferred or ability to obtain licensure in the first year of employment.  This position will report directly to the building and grounds supervisor.  This is a full-time, year-round position and includes health, dental, life, and long-term disability insurance as well as paid vacation, personal, holiday, and sick leave.  Pay range is $18.07-$22.08 per hour.  Wages and benefits are DOE/DOQ.   

Qualifications:

• Must be in good general health and professional in appearance.

• Must be able to lift 50 lbs without difficulty.

• Must be able to or willing to learn to safely operate many different items of equipment including drills, saws, and floor scrubbers.

• Must be able to perform routine maintenance on equipment.

• Must be loyal, trustworthy, dependable, and able to maintain confidentiality as required.

• Must use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as gloves and safety glasses as required.

• Must collaborate well with others and be a team player.
